The Clinton County Boys’ golf team has recently moved to the 9-0 mark on its season with a recent win over Metcalfe County on the team’s home course, Kentucky Hills, in Summershade, KY.
As a team, Clinton County posted a four-under par 140, which according to Head Coach Mike Anders, was a new school record.
Individually, Sawyer Stalcup shot the low round of the match with a four-under 32, followed by Evan Shelley with a one-under 35. Trevor Riddle posted an even-par 36 and Kenny Stinson shot one over par 37 for the round. John Crouch finished the match with a 42.
Clinton County was back in action Tuesday at Dale Hollow Lake State Park Resort as the team hosted Monticello. The Golf Dawgs will also host Cumberland County and Caverna on Thursday at Dale Hollow State Park.
On the girls’ side, Clinton County traveled to Glasgow to take part in the All “A” Classic regional tournament.
The Lady Golf Dawgs finished with a team score of 215. Glasgow won the regional tournament with a team score of 155.
Individual scoring for Clinton County was: Ansley Stalcup – 45, Addision Bernard – 52, Whitney Stonecipher – 54, Samantha Stinson – 64, and Justice Boils – 65.
Clinton County was back in action on Tuesday, as the girls hosted Campbellsville and Cumberland County. That match was too late for press deadline and will be featured in next week’s edition.
The girls’ team will also host Cumberland County and Caverna on Thursday at Dale Hollow State Park Resort.
