William Edward Peters, 88, Russell Springs, Kentucky, passed away Friday, March 23, 2018 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset. He was the son of the late Shirley and Alma Davidson Peters and was also preceded in death by two children, one brother and a grandchild.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia Schroader Peters, Russell Springs, Kentucky; five daughters, Beverly Jones, Olathe, Kansas; Teresa (Dallas) Luttrell, Russell Springs, Kentucky; Judy (John) Strain, Cleveland, Tennessee; Nora (Wesley) Tallent, Albany; Dora Gadberry, Shelbyville, Indiana; a brother, Hollis Peters, Harford, Kentucky; three sisters, Ruth (Reginald) Utley, Hartford; Martha Thompson, Beaver Dam, Kentucky and Faye Geary, McHenry, Kentucky; also 13 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at 1 p.m. at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with final resting place in Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam with full military honors. Online condolences may be made at www.dunksfuneralhom.com.
