Ed Payne, Jr., 82, Burkesville, Kentucky and formerly of Albany, passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2018 at Veteran’s Hospital in Lexington. He was the son of Edgar Sr. and Etta Belle (Shields) Payne.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce (McGuire) Payne; a daughter, Kathy Laskey; three grandchildren, Amanda Kathryn Roark, Megan Joy Robinson and Donald Laskey, Jr.; also six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday, March 31, 2018 at Campbell-New Funeral Home with pastors Nick Catron and Bob Sawyer officiating. Final resting place in Peolia Cemetery with military honors. Arrangements were made through Campbell-New Funeral Home of Albany.
