Betty Lou Simpson, 84, Byrdstown, Tennessee and formerly of Albany, passed away Thursday, May 3, 2018 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Rev. Hiland Paul Simpson, daughter of the late Claude and Myrel Corrine (Jarvis) Legg and was also preceded in death by two infants, three brothers and a niece.

She is survived by a sister, Patty Sue (Opie) Mitchell, Elk View, West Virginia; three nephews; three great-nephews; five great-nieces. Funeral services were held Saturday, May 5, 2018 at Campbell-New Funeral Home with pastors Roger Jones, Donnie Shelley and Bro. Opie Mitchell officiating.
