The 2018 Clinton County Fair is already here again, with early events off the full-week long of activities beginning this weekend at the Clinton County Fairgrounds in Albany.
The fair will officially begin on Saturday, June 9 with the Baby Show at 10 a.m. and then in the evening, the Coca-Cola Showcase and Race TN Flat Track Racing.
On Monday, June 11, the fair will be in full-swing with the carnival on the midway.
The primary program on Monday will be the Bullwhip Rodeo, which includes bull and bronc riding, team roping and more. For patrons not into rodeo, the Little Miss and Mister Pre-Teen pageants will also be held.
Tuesday will continue with pageants and other events. The Miss Teen and Miss Clinton County Fair will be held in front of the main grandstands and for those not into pageants, a new event, the first annual Muddy Obstacle Mayhem will take place.
Wednesday night’s events will include the lawn mower pull and ATV rodeo and Thursday will feature the always popular Family Night festivities, which is also the night with the lowest admission price.
The always popular Demolition Derby will be featured on Friday night, as well as the Kubtoa RTV giveway in the main building. Tickets are still being sold on the RTV at $100 per ticket with only 350 tickets available.
Cash prizes will also be given to the first, next-to-last and each 25th ticket drawn, ranging from $100 to $500 with the last ticket left being the main prize winner. See any Clinton County Fair Board member to purchase a ticket.
The fair will close out on Saturday, June 16 with 4-H youth activities taking place in the morning and the conclusion will be the annual KOTTPA Truck Pull on the main track and the alternate event of wresting in front of the grandstands.
As has been the case in the past few years, a “one price gate admission” will allow patrons not only entry to all main events each night, but also free carnival rides.
Further, a listing of all exhibit hall rules and complete fair information was published in last week’s edition of the Clinton County News.
