SODA meetings

Narcotics Anonymous
Narcotics Anonymous group meets each Monday and Tuesday night at 7 p.m. at the First Christian Church in Albany. These meetings are open to anyone wanting to address their drug and alcohol problems.
AA / Al-Anon meetings
AA and Al-Anon will be meeting each Thursday and Saturday night at 7 p.m. in the basement of the First Christian Church.
VA officer available
Veterans Service Officer Earl Claborn is available to help veterans and their families with VA benefits. The office is located in the Clinton County Community Center. Office hours are Monday and Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information call 606-387-9447.
Little Hills accepting

Little Hills of Kentucky Animal Rescue, Inc. is accepting donations for the Rollercoaster Yard Sale September 30 and October 1. All donations are tax deductible and free local pick-up is available. Head Start, Early Head Start parent meeting
Head Start/Early Head Start parents will meet Wednesday, September 7 at 12 noon at the Early Head Start Center. Topic will be Health and Wellness, Bus and Pedestrian Safety. Officers for the 2011-12 school year will be elected. All Head Start/Early Head Start parents are welcome to attend. Refreshments will be served and door prizes given. Health Board to meet
There will be a meeting of the Lake Cumberland District Board of Health on Tuesday, September 6 at 6 p.m. local time at the Lake Cumberland Area Development District Office in Russell Springs. The meeting is open to the public.

Albany City Council will hold its monthly meeting Tuesday, September 6 at 5 p.m. at Albany City Hall. The meeting is open to the public.

The CCHS Basketball Boosters will meet Thursday, September 1 at 5 p.m. in the high school cafeteria. All parents with CCHS basketball players are urged to attend.
Clinton Co. Farm Bureau membership meeting

Historical Society to meet
The Clinton County Historical Society will meet at 3 p.m. on Thursday, September 8 at the Clinton County Community Center, 200 Spring Street. Lisa Coffman, a professor at California Polytechnic State University will address the meeting on the Jerome Boyett–Willie Winningham saga. Ms. Coffman will be in the area doing research for a book concerning the Boyett lynching and the Winningham family. The meeting is open to the public. Ms. Coffman is interested in meeting and speaking with anyone who has knowledge of the event and/or is acquainted with members of the Winningham family. Anyone who would care to meet with Ms. Coffman may call 387-4525 to schedule a time on September 8 or 9.
Middle School SBDM meeting dates and times
