Bro. Bobby Grant pastored his final service at Highway Church of the Nazerene Sunday in front of a packed house as more than 175 people were on hand to congratulate him on his retirement.

Grant announced his retirement during the summer and he said he is looking forward to being retired.

“I told Lelia that I would take a month off from everything,” Grant said. “We might just pack up and start driving.”

Grant’s service was followed by a reception at the Highway Church Christian Family Life Center where Mayor Nicky Smith presented Grant with a certificate announcing August 28 as Bro. Bobby Grant Day.
