Some of us make New Year resolutions – or may intend doing so and then do not. Ask yourself which category you fall into and then ask “Would making a New Year resolution make me better off?”
If your answer is yes, take time to read the following suggestion that can make you healthier, wealthier and wiser.
You may not have had much opportunity to notice – the first “medication” most patients are put on, upon entering a hospital, is intravenous liquid (mostly water).
Why do you think that is? The simple reason is that people as a whole do not drink enough water.
The older we grow, the less our bodies can tolerate dehydration, yet with old age, the tendency is greater, to neglect drinking water.
Lack of water literally causes us to feel sick and lifeless. It can put us into a hospital.
Without drinking enough water every day, our body begins to dry out, our skin wrinkles, making us look older and continued drying out eventually leads to kidney failure.
These days with the costs of hospitalization and health care soaring, the simple resolution of everyone drinking more water every day, throughout the coming new year, could help all the way around. Truly, we would all be healthier, wealthier and wiser.
