Clinton Grand Jury returns bevy of July indictments

The Clinton County Grand Jury convened for a busy regular session on July 12, naming 13 individuals in true bills in open circuit court, including many multi-count charges and two people facing 22 separate charges alone in different, unrelated incidents.

Several of the charges relating to indictments included both felony and misdemeanor offenses.

The following indictments were handed down by the Clinton County Grand Jury in July:

* Danny Hall, the alleged offense of wanton endangerment first degree (two counts); fleeing or evading police (Class D felonies); speeding; burglary-third degree; possession of a controlled substance-first degree (Class D felonies); possession of drug paraphernalia; possession of marijuana; possession of a controlled substance-first degree (Class D felony); reckless driving; and, failure to maintain insurance on a motor vehicle.

The alleged offenses occurred on or about April 13.

* Charlie York, the alleged offenses of failure to signal; inadequate silencer (muffler); operating a motor vehicle under the influence 0.08 or above; failure to maintain insurance on a motor vehicle; fleeing or evading police-first degree (Class D felony); disregarding a stop sign; reckless driving; driving on a suspended license; speeding; failure to illuminate registration plate; persistent felony offender-first degree, a felony.

The alleged offenses occurred on or about March 20.

* James B. Hill, the alleged offenses of burglary-third degree (three counts); possession of a controlled substance-first degree; theft by unlawful taking or disposition over $500 but less than $10,000 (Class D felonies); possession of drug paraphernalia.

The alleged offenses occurred on or about June 6.

* Randy A. Brumley, the alleged offenses of possession of drug paraphernalia (misdemeanor); and trafficking in a controlled substance first degree-first offense and possession of a controlled substance first degree (methamphetamine), both Class D felonies.

The alleged offenses having occurred on or about June 27, 2018.

* Amber D. Maloy, the alleged offenses of tampering with physical evidence (Class D felony); possession of a controlled substance not in original container (misdemeanor); trafficking in a controlled substance-first degree (Class C felony); possession of drug paraphernalia (misdemeanor); and, persistent felony offender (felony), two counts.

The alleged offenses having occurred on or about June 24.

* Kensey Pruitt, the alleged offenses of possession of a controlled substance-first degree (Class D felony; possession of drug paraphernalia; possession of marijuana (misdemeanors); burglary-third degree and possession of a controlled substance-first degree (Class D felonies).

The alleged offenses occurring on or about April 13.

* Ashley M. Neal, the alleged offenses of possession of a controlled substance-first degree; trafficking in a controlled substance-first degree (Class D felonies); possession of drug paraphernalia (misdemeanor).

The alleged offenses occurring on or about May 19.

* Lora R. Jones, the alleged offenses of possession of drug paraphernalia; possession of marijuana (misdemeanors); trafficking in a controlled substance-first degree and possession of a controlled substance-first degree (Class D felonies).

The alleged offenses having occurred on or about May 19.

* Leeanna M. Traylor, the alleged offenses of possession of drug paraphernalia; possession of marijuana (misdemeanors); trafficking in a controlled substance-first degree and possession of a controlled substance-first degree (Class D felonies).

The alleged offenses occurring on or about May 19.

* Wesley McGaw, the alleged offenses of possession of a controlled substance-first degree (Class D felony); possession of drug paraphernalia (misdemeanor).

The alleged offenses occurring on or about June 27.

* Ryan T. Tweedy, the alleged offenses of receiving stolen property (Class D felony); giving a peace officer a false name or address (misdemeanor).

The alleged offenses having occurred on or about May 13.

* Ernest Hall, the alleged offense of persistent felony offender-first degree, by committing the alleged offense of third degree assault on or about May 8, after having been stood convicted of a prior felony offense within the past five years.

* Jeffery Clark, the alleged offense of flagrant nonsupport, the alleged offense having occurred on or about April 1, 2013 through June 7, 2018.
