Two injured in a two vehicle collision

Trooper Jason Warriner is investigating a collision that occurred on Sunday, July 22, 2018 at approximately 12:53 p.m. CST on Hwy 1351, approximately five miles west of Albany.

Cheyiann Kopke, age 21, of Burkesville was operating a west bound 2003 Chevrolet four door when she lost control of the vehicle due to rain slickened road conditions.

Kopke entered the east bound lane striking a 2017 Dodge Ram pickup being operated by 55 year old Russell Decker of Burkesville.

Kopke and Decker were transported to Cookeville Regional Medical and treated for non-life threatening injuries.

A female juvenile passenger in the Kopke vehicle transported to the Clinton County Hospital by EMS for non-life threatening injuries.

A passenger in the Decker vehicle, Bonnie Decker, age 58, of Burkesville was uninjured.

All parties involved were wearing seatbelts. Trooper Warriner was assisted on scene by Clinton County EMS.
