James Maloy Guffey, 84, Albany, passed away Saturday, July 28, 2018 at the Medical Center-Albany. He was the son of the late William and Pearl Johnson Guffey and a Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Ruth Pierce Guffey, Albany; a son, James Michael (Belinda) Guffey, Kirksville, Missouri; a daughter, Sandra Louise (Leon) McClard, Albany; a sister, Edna Whitfield, Owensboro, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Jamie (Stephen), Michael (Sarah), Lauren and Alice and two great-grandchildren, Maloy and Maddox.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Weldon Haddix Funeral Home with Bruce Stearns, Edward Stearns and Wayne Watts officiating. Final resting place in Cave Springs Cemetery. Arrangements were made through Weldon Haddix Funeral Home.
