Traditional end of summer was a busy one on the lakes

The tourism season of 2011 came in May and for the most part came to an end last weekend in what was certainly a busy Labor Day holiday, especially on the two lakes.

Next week’s Poker Run on Lake Cumberland will of course bring in some impressive boats to the area, and after the Poker Run comes to an end, local lake enthusiasts will pretty much have the waterways to ourselves, at least until we do it all over again beginning with the May 2012 tourism season.

Dawgs take it on the chin

Clinton County had a rough night over in Adair County Friday, when they went up against the Indians and suffered a 56-0 loss to go 0-3 on the season.

The Bulldogs will return to our home field this Friday night, playing host to 3A Casey County. The Rebels come to Clinton County with a 1-2 mark on the season, picking up a loss at the hands of Green County, 21-14, this past Friday night.

Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m.

Following this Friday night’s game, the Bulldogs will be on the road for a while, traveling on four consecutive Friday nights before our next home game against Green County on October 21.
