Albany City Police Officer Jeremy Ferguson was awarded the Governor’s Award for outstanding achievement in August.

Ferguson’s award was given for writing the most citations for DUI’s among those officers on the police force. He was presented the award by Mayor Nicky Smith, Police Chief Ernest Guffey and Assistant Police Chief Lyle Pierce.
