Lida Louise (Jones) Smith, 75, Bowling Green, Kentucky and formerly of Burkesville, passed away Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at Hopkins Nursing Home in Woodburn. She was a member of Burkesville First United Methodist Church and former Home Economics Agent in Cumberland County for 32 years.

She is survived by her husband, Buford R. “Smitty” Smith; a son, James “Jim” Clark (Amy) Smith, Bowling Green, Kentucky; a daughter, Kristy (Junior) Janes, Columbia, Kentucky; two sisters, Evelyn (David Lee) Givens, Greensburg, Kentucky; Anne (George) Brinson, Somerset, Kentucky; also five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at Burkesville First United Methodist Church with R. Robert Morris and Todd Love officiating. Final resting place in Pitman Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Burkesville First United Methodist Church.
