The boys’ soccer team moves to 0-3 on the year with a loss to Taylor County on Monday afternoon, 6-0. The team is in its first year under the direction of Greg Cummings. Clinton County’s first game came on August 25 against Barren County. The Trojans defeated Clinton County, 7-0 during that match up. During the Dawgs second match up on August 30, Clinton County traveled to Somerset where the Briar Jumpers shutout the Dawgs and scored 10 goals for the win.
Monday night’s game was the first home game for Clinton County and with a good crowd on hand, Clinton County held its own through out the first half, However Taylor County found its rythum and score six unanswered goals to take the win, 6-0.
The Clinton County boys’ team will play again on September 19 as the team will travel to Lincoln County. The next home match will come on September 20, against Somerset. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
