GNT Fall production of Radio Suspense Theatre

Good Neighbors Theatre is in rehearsal for another episode of Radio Suspense Theatre by Steve Cleberg.

Cleberg is a Professor of Theatre Arts at Somerset Community College, Somerset, Kentucky.

Production dates are Friday, November 9 and Saturday, November 10 at 7:00 pm and Sunday, November 11 at 2:00 pm at the Mary Estelle Mullins Art Center, 8780 Highway 111, Byrdstown, Tennessee 38549 (Good Neighbors Theater)

The year is 1943. America is now involved in World War II Betty is concerned because her dough boy is missing in action. Morty has finally forged a relationship with Jane, only to have an old girlfriend show up to guest star on that evening’s performance.

Director Allen Burns mistakes tranquilizers for vitamins, adding to the hilarious mishaps that rule the evening’s mayhem.

The company performs the first mystery, A Deadly Wager ,about a man who enters into a macabre bet with his father-in-law that may lead to his death.

The second mystery thriller, The Parakeets Vanish, tells the story about a man who has witnessed a murder in his mother-in-law’s apartment. Or did he?

Cast members include Tom Murray, John Mullins, Bob Saunders, Linda Saunders, Jamie Garrett, Beverly Hammock, Seth Hart, Paige Mayercik, Connor Mayercik, Janna Cope, Kathy Hicks, Evan Garrett, Ben Gwaltney, and Melva Nunnery.

The production is being directed by Paige Mayercik and Melva Nunnery.

Once again, the Thursday night final dress rehearsal will be open to the public for $5 (plus tax).
