Ronald Gene Lawson, 57, of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away Saturday, November 24, 2018, at the Cumberland County Hospital in Burkesville,

He was born in Burkesville, the son of James Robert Cary and Clara Kimbel Lawson. He was of Holiness faith, a U. S. Army Veteran, and a factory worker for Akebono.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Wendell Lee Lawson, and a sister, June Alice Lawson.

He is survived by his sisters, Angie (Dr. Leon) Link of Bowling Green, Kentucky, Rhonda (Raymond) Nobles, Robin Fall, Shannon Dudley, and Wendy Ward, all of Louisville, Kentucky; his brother, Ritchie Dean Lawson, Sr. of Burkesville; and a special friend, Hazel Graves of Tompkinsville, Kentucky.

The funeral service was conducted on Saturday, December 1, 2018 in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home, with Bishop Leon Link and Rev. Freddie Williams officiating. Burial was in The Lawson Family Cemetery, located in the Lawson Bottom Community of Cumberland County, Kentucky. Norris-New Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
