Herbert Holland York, 74, Burkesville, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, December 12, 2010 at Cumberland County Hospital.

He is survived by his wife, Sally Jewell (Owens) York; his children, Barbara (Ronald) Smith, Burkesville, KY, Ronnie Dale (Karen) York, Albany; Ricky York, Eustis, FL; two brothers, Preston York, Burkesville, KY; Jessie York, Columbia, KY; two sisters, Elizabeth York and Willie Mae Chapman, both of Columbia, KY; three grandchildren, Saleena Brown Scott, Jessica Brown and Ashley Sheffield; also three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at Norris-New Funeral Home in Burkesville with Bro. Seth Denney officiating. Final resting place in Bow School House Cemetery in Cumberland County.

Norris-New Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
