Creekmore

Rev. Donald Lee Creekmore, 66, Fairland Cemetery Rd., Albany, passed away Tuesday, December 28, 2010. He was the son of the late George C. and Mary Moore Creekmore and was also preceded in death by a grandson, Nicholas Foster.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Creekmore; a son, Terry Creekmore (Jody); a daughter, Donna Foster, all of Albany; three brothers, Bobby (Rose) and Lonnie (Patsy) Creekmore, both of Pine Knot, KY; Ralph (Marsha) Creekmore, Glasgow, KY; six sisters, Bettie Chitwood, Windfield, IN; Rose (Joe) Marlow, Helenwood, TN; Carolyn (Wayne) Sexton, Speedwell, TN; Georgia (Wayne) Simpson, Mary Ann (Tommy) Meadows and Toni Creekmore (Trent), all of Pine Knot, KY; also three grandchildren, Michael Creekmore (Casey), Lori Foster and Courtney Creekmore.

Funeral services were held Friday, December 31, 2010 at 1 p.m. at Aaron Chapel Church with Rev. Jerry Ridge and Rev. Melvin Underwood officiating. Final resting place in Aaron Chapel Cemetery. Arrangements made through Weldon Haddix Funeral Home of Albany.

Mary E. Ferril

Mary E. Ferril, 77, Columbus, Indiana and formerly of Albany, passed away Saturday, January 1, 2011. She was the daughter of the late Katy Pauline and Finley Willen of Albany.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 3, 2011 at Jewell Rittman Funeral Home in Columbus, Indiana.

M. Leah “Lizzie” Smith

M. Leah “Lizzie” Smith, 84, Spiceland, Indiana and a native of Byrdstown, Tennessee, passed away Thursday, December 30, 2010 at her residence. She was the wife of the late Norman D. Smith and attended Knightstown Church of God.

She is survived by a son, Mikel Smith, Gas City, IN; two sisters, Velma Harmon, Muncie, IN; Juanita Kauffman, Selma IN; two grandsons, Dennis and Erik Smith; six great-grandchildren, Garrison, Gannon, Barron, Sophia, Lauren and Landrie Smith; also several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle, Indiana with final resting place in Circle Grove Cemetery in Spiceland, Indiana.
