Ila Mae Speck.psd

Ila Mae Speck, 86, passed away at her residence on Monday, February 11, 2019.

She served for a short time as Sheriff of Clinton County, after being appointed to the office following the death of her husband, Gordon Speck, who at the time was the Clinton County Sheriff.

In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by a son, Johnny H. Speck.

She is survived by three daughters, Kathy Vincent, of Albany; Janice (Tony) Lewis of Alabama and Carla (Jimmy Bo) Burchett of Albany.

She is also survived by a special niece, Linda Bullard; five grandchildren, Matthew Garmon, Cory Willis, Brian Speck, Michael Norris and Jordan Vincent. Also surviving are six step-grandchildren and 13 step-great-grandchildren.

Services were held Wednesday, February 13, at Talbott Funeral Home in Albany, with Bro. Jeff Brown and Dr. Carol Peddicord officiating: Burial was in the Locust Grove Cemetery.
