If you are especially proud of your outdoor grilling and bar-b-que preparation skills, here’s your chance to prove to the world, or at least to Clinton County, that you know your way around fire and heat.

The Clinton County Relay for Life Committee and participating teams are hosting a Celebrity Cook Off at this year’s Relay for Life, Friday, April 19th.

If you want to be one of the Celebrity Cooks at this year’s Cook-Off, then you are automatically a celebrity and you qualify.

Participants will need to cook enough food for 50 to 75 people to sample.

The contest isn’t limited to BBQ, burgers or wings, either. Baking, smoking, cooking or grilling will be featured in the Cook Off.

The tasting portion of the Cook Off will be open to the public, with tasting tickets being offered to the public for $5. Tasters will be able to sample all you want and gives each participating taster a ticket to vote for your favorite chef.

The winner will be announced before the Luminaria Ceremony at the Relay for Life gathering on April 19. All proceeds from the Celebrity Cook Off benefit Relay for Life.

Details about being a part of the Relay for Life Celebrity Cook Off can be learned by contacting Amanda Messer (606-782-3248) or Gina Poore (606-688-3045). Potential cooks should be registered with one of the two above named organizers by April 10.
