Jackson back on the hardwood Saturday

Clinton County Bulldog Jackson Harlan will be back on the hardwood this Saturday when he joins teammates from across the Bluegrass to take on the best from the Buckeye State.

The 2019 “Battle At The Border” will see the Kentucky All Stars taking on the Ohio All Stars Saturday in Crestview Hills (Covington), Kentucky.

Harlan, who led our Bulldogs to a 24-8 season and a semi-final run in the 4th Region Tournament, is one of 15 players who will don the Kentucky uniform Saturday for the game at Thomas Moore University.

Kentucky’s Mr. Basketball, Dontaie Allen, would normally wear the team’s No. 1 jersey, and he has been named to the squad, but due to his injury(s), he will not be dressing out or playing.

Harlan, who has signed to play his college roundball with the Hilltoppers of Western Kentucky University, will have a teammate on this weekend’s squad who is a familiar name to WKU fans and will be a teammate of Harlan’s after this weekend’s game as well.

Isaiah Cozart, a 6’7” forward who played for Madison Central and Allen Feldhaus, Jr. in his high school years, was also named to the Kentucky All-Star team.

Cozart will also don a red and white Hilltopper uniform next season.

A new champion

Virginia outlasted Texas Tech Monday night in overtime to lay claim to the 2019 NCAA men’s basketball championship title.

The NCAA tourney was filled with some great games, and some strange outcomes, but all in all, it was an enjoyable season.

Better the Cavaliers get to claim to be the Champions until this time next year, than to have to listen to those PUKE fans all year.

Go Cats – 2020 is our year!

In the meantime – let’s take it outside for a few months!
