The 14th annual Kentucky Invitational Tournament (KIT) Teen Bible Quiz was held on Friday and Saturday, September 30 and October 1, 2011 at Louisville First Church of the Nazarene.
Eighteen teams competed at the KIT, representing churches from Kentucky, Tennessee, Ohio, Indiana, and Florida.
All teams – both novice and experienced – competed together in this tournament. After a Round Robin, the High-Hill team of William Cox, Vincent Boils, Corey Boils, Jordan Grant, and Karlee Gibson was the fourth team and qualified for the Gold Division tournament.
The Highway team of Savannah Stockton, Hayli Pillar, Gunar Honeycutt, Hannah Avery, and Abby Gibson was the ninth team and qualified for the Silver Division tournament. The Albany United team of Silas Melton, Amber Cross, and Angela Thurman was the 13th team and also qualified for the Silver Division tournament.
High-Hill, coached by Sid Scott, finished the Gold Tournament in third place. Albany United, coached by Angela Melton and Katie Poore, finished the Silver Tournament in second place. Highway, coached by Teresa Scott, finished the Silver Tournament in third place.
Individually, Vincent Boils was third, Savannah Stockton was 13th, and William Cox was 15th. Thanks to Albany United and Highway Nazarene Churches for supporting this incredible ministry and encouraging our teens to dig deeper into God’s Word.
