May Day Hay Day

I can’t imagine living anywhere else in the world. I absolutely love living in Clinton County and just this week I stopped to make a picture of my neighbor working his hay and take in a fresh breath of newly cut hay. Working in hay is an art and one that I enjoy seeing as I drive around rural America. From cutting it, to tethering it, and onto the baling and hauling it in there is nothing more beautiful to me. The hard work and effort that goes in to it to feed livestock all winter is a wonderful provision.

I rolled the window down and snapped the picture as my neighbor looked on. We then exchanged waves and on I drove just thinking about the blue skies and wonderful smells and could not think of another place in the world I had rather be. Thank you farmers for all your hard work and wonderful showmanship that we all get to enjoy!
