Robert Dale Albertson, age 64, died and was buried this past week. He was my brother, and someone to look up to also. You have to know that he lived daily with a terrible illness called Parkinson’s Disease. This disease was followed by an awful stroke suffered as he worked for the same grocery store since around 1970. My brother kept going to work even though he could hardly raise his feet to take steps, and his balance could become very unbalanced with no warning. It never occurred to him to stop working. He just kept moving one foot in front of the other. It took the stroke to stop him. Even then he didn’t feel sorry for himself. He found enjoyment in being with others who needed help like him to do the basic daily chores of life. He never, ever complained. When telling me how much he enjoyed a few days vacation out on the road traveling, he smiled and told me he was “making memories.” Last week he took his memories to heaven.
Bobby’s proud sister,
Carolyn Albertson
