On Monday, May 20, Deputy Nathan Ginn of the Russell County Sheriff’s Department investigated a two vehicle collision on the Louie B. Nunn Parkway which left one subject dead.

Billy Wilson, 39, of Ohio, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs and lodged in the Russell County Detention Center. Four counts of wanton endangerment were also added.

Wilson was operating a 2008 Nissan on the parkway when it allegedly crossed the median and collided with a 2013 Chevrolet Suburban driven by Christopher Kamerun McNane, 52, of Nashville, Tennessee.

McNane was pronounced dead at the scene.

Chief Deputy Jerry Melton and a Kentucky State Police accident reconstruction investigator, along with local fire departments, EMS and the Russell Springs Police Department, were on the scene for several hours.
