Nuetzman honored with National Extension

Christy Polston Nuetzman, Clinton County Extension Agent for Family and Consumer Sciences of Albany, KY, was honored recently at the National Extension Association for Family and Consumer Sciences 2011 annual session, “Guiding Extension Professionals Along the Route to Empowerment.”

She received the first place National and first place Southern Region Community Partnership Award at the conference held September 26-30, 2011 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

In receiving the award, Nuetzman was recognized for Truth and Consequences: The Choice is Yours, an enrichment activity involving role-play scenarios designed to show students the impact of getting involved with illicit and illegal substances.

The Community Partnership Award recognizes NEAFCS members for outstanding community partnership efforts in meeting the needs of families through collaboration with groups, agencies and consumers. It recognizes members for their efforts in building community partnerships to meet the educational needs and concerns of families.

Christy Nuetzman‘s commitment to meeting the needs of individuals, families and communities is exemplary.
