Bro. Farris Pierce, 67, N. Hwy. 127, Albany, passed away Monday, October 10, 2011 at his residence. He was a Vietnam veteran, retired principal of the Clinton County Area Technology Center, a member of Lands Chapel United Methodist Church and he had also served as pastor of several churches in the Albany area. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Beverly June Pierce.

He is survived by his wife, Geneva Pierce, Albany; a daughter, Sandy Kempton, Cookeville, TN; a grandson, Caleb Rayburn Kempton; also a sister and two brothers.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 13, 2011 at 1 p.m. at Talbott Funeral Home with Bro. Charles Tone and Bro. Bobby Atwell officiating. Final resting place in Lands Chapel Cemetery with Military Honors. Visitation 5-9 p.m. Wednesday, October 12. Arrangements made through Talbott Funeral Home of Albany.
