Clinton County’s Sawyer Stalcup and Evan Shelley played last week in the Kentucky High School Athletic Association’s State Tournament at Bowling Green Country Club.

Shelley qualified for the second day of the tournament by shooting a 74 on the first day and an 80 on the second day for a two-day total of 154. Shelley finished tied for 15th overall in the tournament.

Stalcup finished the first day with a 84 and did not qualify for the second day of the tournament.

Lexington Christian won the tournament as a team for the second year in a row. In the individual competition, Stephen Stallings from St. Xaiver shot a two-day total of 146.
