Property taxes for the county will remain the same as last year, following action taken by the Wayne County Fiscal Court during a meeting on September 12.

Wayne County Judge/Executive Mike Anderson recommended that the court adopt the same rate as last year, which was 12.6 cents per hundred dollars of assessed value. That will be for real property.

The rate for personal property will remain at 13.25 cents per hundred dollars assessed value. The timberland tax will also remain the same. All magistrates voted in favor of the action.
