Sheriff Derek Polston reported that on Sunday evening, September 15, a search warrant was executed at 100 Walnut Lane Hwy. 1680 in the Bernard Ridge/Pleasant Hill area of Russell County by members of the sheriff’s office.

Three individuals were arrested at the scene.

Phillip Sutton, 47, and Kathy Sutton, 55, were arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance first degree, first offense, methamphetamine, possession of marijuana less than eight ounces, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Phillip Grider, 41, was also arrested and served with three outstanding warrants for flagrant non-support of a child.

The sheriff’s office was assisted at the scene by Burkesville Police Officer Wesley Long and his K-9 Ranger.
