It was a chilly morning but hearts were warm. The temperature of less than 60 degrees and a brisk chill in the air did not chill the heart-felt commitment of hundreds of participants in Saturday, October the 12th’s, Walk to End Alzheimer’s Disease. This was the first year for the Somerset region to participate in this annual event and Clinton County Care & Rehab Center was there.

Thanks to the efforts and contributions of many from Clinton County, we, at CCCR, were proud to be among the dozens of groups whose combined efforts exceeded the goal of $50,000.00. The preliminary estimate is over $64,000.00 raised. (Contributions will be received through December 31st.) Pictured are our elders Mary Lovelace, Ruby Jones and Kenneth Thornsberry. Staff and guests include: Quality of Life Director Michelle Shelton, with her daughter Sarah; Rehab Services Manager Rachel Gregory with Occupational Therapist Renee Bell, her daughter Rosalyn, and her mother Regina (of “Sweet Mama Creations”); Chaplain Michael Cooper; and Assistant Director of Nursing Angie Coleman.
