Another large group of runners took advantage of a near-perfect morning Saturday to compete in the Foothills Festival 5K Race. They gathered for this group photo after the race, just prior to the awards ceremony.
Crisp and clear weather Saturday morning made for perfect conditions for a race. The field of runners are shown here coming off of the starting line at 8:00 a.m. at Mountain View Rec Park.
Above, John McQuitty, right, and Garrett Scott, left, finished the Foothills Festival 5K race in first and second place overall with times of 19:29 and 19:36 respectively. Below, Dagan Conaster was the first female to cross the finish line with a time of 22:39.
This large group of runners in Saturday’s Foothills 5K were members of the Clinton County Middle School boys’ and girls’ basketball teams.
Foothills Festival Planning Committee members Tammy Ferguson and Heather Mann worked the sign-in table Saturday morning as 5K Run participants were arriving to pick up their running numbers and shirts prior to the start of the race.
