The Clinton County Football team went out in style Friday night for its final home game of the season.
The Bulldogs hosted Jackson County and pulled off the huge win on senior night, 51-20.
As a team, Clinton County recorded 151 yards rushing, and had 49 yards passing.
Several players factored into passing yards during the game including Cameron Matthews with one pass completion for 35 yards and a touchdown, Chase Stines had one completion for nine yards and Dillon Amburgey had one pass completion for five yards.
Rushing, Matthews had 69 yards, Camrick Wright finished with 61 yards rushing, Nathan Brown had 32 yards rushing on four carries, Jamie Stearns had four yards rushing, Christian Marcum had two yards rushing and Dakota Miller and Parker Tallent each had one yard rushing.
Receiving it was Adam Herald with 35 yards, Amburgey with nine yards and Malachi Upchurch with five yards.
The Bulldogs ended its regular season with a 6-3 record along with a number three seed in district play.
Clinton County will travel to Monroe County on Friday night to take on the Falcons in the first round of district play.
Clinton County and Monroe County met up on September 20, at Monroe County, as the Dawgs lost a hard fought battle, 28-14.
This will be the first time in several years the Bulldogs have made it to the post season in hopes of extending its season into November.
Several players got into the action of taking down a Jackson County player during the first half of Friday night’s final home game. Clinton County won the game by a final score of 51-20.
