Local residents passing by the Clinton County Courthouse will notice a new 14 feet tall Canadian Hemlock tree that was planted Monday morning in the courthouse lawn. The tree was purchased by Clinton County Judge/Executive Ricky Craig and Deanie Craig as their gift to everyone in the county to enjoy for years to come.

The tree will be decorated and an official lighting ceremony will be held on Wednesday, December 4, during the Christmas On The Square event.

Christmas on the Square is set to begin at about 4:00 p.m. with a host of planned activities and events for all ages, with the Christmas tree lighting planned to take place at about 6:00 p.m.

Residents are invited to bring family ornaments to hang on the tree for the celebration.
