Clinton County Fiscal Court held a special meeting last Wednesday afternoon with five members present, again voting only to make cash transfers to meet payroll.
Five of the magistrates were on hand for the short call meeting with two transfers voted on separately.
The court, on a motion by magistrate Mickey Riddle, approved a $1,500 transfer from the general fund checking account to the Occupational Fund checking account.
On a motion by magistrate Gary Ferguson, they also voted unanimously to transfer $15,000 from the general fund to the jail checking account to meet payroll.
Also originally on the agenda for the call meeting was a transfer involving the ambulance service, but county treasurer Cindy Thrasher noted the EMS had received enough funds into their own account to meet payroll for the most recent time period prior to the meeting being held.
Other than Riddle and Ferguson, magistrates Ray Marcum, Johnny Russell and Terry Buster were also present. Magistrate Jerry Lowhorn was out-of-town and could not attend.
The next meeting of the fiscal court will also be a special call meeting. Although the date of the meeting is unchanged, the time was moved back making it a special meeting and limited agenda.
That meeting will be held next Thursday, December 19 at 1 p.m. in the upstairs courtroom of the courthouse and is open to the general public.
The annual employee Christmas dinner will also be held on that evening at 5 p.m. at the Clinton County Community Center.
