Five people have been arrested in connection with the discovery of two meth labs, according to information released by Wayne County Sheriff Charles Boston.
On Saturday, October 15, deputies responded to a meth lab complaint at 780 Morris Hill Road. Upon arrival at the residence, deputies located several items consistent with manufacturing methamphetamine.
Brandon Bratcher, 18, was arrested and charged with manufacturing methamphetamine and possession of a controlled substance. Tracy Lee Kidd, 22, was also arrested and charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, tampering with physical evidence and possession of a controlled substance. Also arrested was Rocky Dishman, 33, who was charged with manufacturing methamphetamine. All three individuals were lodged in Wayne County Detention Center.
One deputy was transferred to Wayne County Hospital for treatment of chemical injuries sustained during the operation.
The sheriff’s office was assisted at the scene by the Lake Cumberland Area Drug Task Force, Monticello Fire Department and Wayne County EMS.
The investigation is ongoing and more arrests are expected.
On Sunday, October 16, deputies with the sheriff’s department were responding to a suspicious vehicle complaint on Johnson Fork Road when they discovered components to make meth and two active chemical reactions used in making meth.
Two subjects were arrested and another fled on foot away from the scene. Christopher Thompson, 40, and David Holloway, 26, both of Monticello, were arrested and lodged in Wayne County Detention Center. The third suspect had not yet been apprehended. The sheriff’s office was assisted at the scene by Operation UNITE and Monticello Police Department.
More arrests are expected.
