• I always want to thank and recognize our Veterans for all they do for our country. Anyone wishing to donate money or supplies to our local VFW can see any member.
• I want to encourage everyone to complete their Census form and mail it back in s we need everyone to be counted. This determines how much money comes into our county. Anyone interested in working for the Census department can apply at www.2020census.gov/jobs, it pays $14 an hour and .58 mileage.
• I want to thank our road department for all they do and especially for their hard work cleaning up after our recent wind storm. They are continuing to run the long arm bush hog on the right of ways.
• I want to thank and recognize our 911 dispatchers and EMS Department for all they do to take care of our needs, and especially praise them for their diligence and persistence during our recent wind storm. They came together to work long hours until conditions improved.
• I want to thank the jail staff for keeping the inmates out picking up the litter on our county roads as much as possible.
• I encourage everyone to visit our Tri-County Animal Shelter. There are dogs and cats looking for a family.
• I want to thank our Sheriffs Department and his staff for all they do for our county. They are only a phone call away.
• I want to thank and recognize Cindy, Kelli, and Virginia for all you do on a daily basis. Also, Bobby and Ronnie for keeping the courthouse and community center clean.
• I also want to publicly thank and praise our Albany Volunteer Fire Department. They do so much for our county. Every time the need arises they are one of the first ones to step up to help. Please take a minute to thank them and pat them on the back.
• In closing, I want to thank everyone for the visits, phone calls and words of encouragement as I work daily to lead our county. We have a beautiful county and we have good neighbors. We are very blessed!
