Albany Police Department has released its monthly activity report for the month of January 2020 as follows:
During January there were 57 citations written including for the following: reckless driving, 1; expired registration and no insurance, 2 each; DUI and disorderly conduct, 1 each; possession of methamphetamine, 4; shoplifting, 2; domestic violence, assault-4th degree and failure to produce insurance card, 1 each; expired registration receipt, 2; reckless driving and wanton endangerment, 1 each; resisting arrest, 1; public intoxication, 2; fugitive from another state, 3; trafficking in meth-1st degree, 1; theft by unlawful taking/$500, 1; DUI drugs or alcohol, suspended license and expired registration plates, 2 each; assault 3rd-police, 1; terroristic threatening, 2; failure to appear, 8; violation of EPO/DVO, 1; possession of controlled substance not in original container, 1; possession of marijuana, 3; escape 3rd, 1; theft, 2; probation violation, 1; possession of drug paraphernalia, 2.
During January, the APD also served five warrants and answered 301 calls.
