The Clinton County Lady Bulldogs, picked up a win on Saturday during the Robbie Davis Memorial Foundation Classic held at Lindle Castle Gymnasium against Model High School.
The Lady Dawgs got off to a rocky start, but quickly picked up the pace.
Model started out with a 3-0 lead before Braylee Mann hit a free throw to get the Lady Dawgs on the board, 3-1.
A three pointer at the 4:11 mark by Model put the Lady Patriots up by five points, followed by two free throws for an 8-1 lead.
Clinton County then put together an 11-0 run to finish the quarter with a four point lead, 12-8.
The Lady Dawgs continued its run in the second quarter and moved ahead 16-8 before Model would score again at the 6:20 mark.
Back-to-back goals by the Lady Patriots cut the lead to four, 16-12, but a field goal by Landree Moons put Clinton County up 18-12.
Model hit a free throw to cut the lead to five, but a three pointer by Mann put Clinton County up 21-13 at the 4:23 mark.
The Lady Patriots then cut the lead to four points on two field goals, but baskets by Moons and Mann gave the Lady Dawgs an eight point lead with 2:10 remaining before halftime, 25-17.
Model finished the quarter with a field goal at the 1:02 mark, but Moons added a basket to finish the quarter with a halftime lead of 27-19.
During the third quarter, Clinton County continued to dominate the game, outscoring the Lady Patriots 16-8 in the third quarter alone.
Clinton County saw scoring from Cassie Thompson, Mann, Moons, Aysha Sutton and Abbi Young throughout the quarter for a 43-27 third quarter lead.
During the fourth quarter, Clinton County slacked off offensively and found it hard to find a bucket during the eight minute period.
Ashton Daniels hit a three pointer to open the quarter, and Moons followed with a field goal for a 48-27 lead.
During the rest of the quarter, Model put together an 18-5 run to cut the lead to seven points, 52-45.
Model then hit another field goal to cut the lead to five points with 16 seconds remaining.
Two free throws by Mann put Clinton County back up by seven points with 13 seconds remaining and Model hit two free throws with three seconds to end the game.
Clinton County held on to pull off the win by a final score of, 54-49.

Clinton County’s next game was Tuesday at home against Taylor County (too late for press deadline) and will travel to Monroe County on Friday for the first game in a girls’/boys’ double header beginning at 6 p.m.
The Lady Dawgs will also travel to Lynn Camp on Saturday for a 6 p.m. tip off.
