Peggy Lou Guffey, 52, Alpha, passed away Friday, October 28, 2011 at her home. She was a native of Indianapolis, Indiana and was a former school board member of the Wayne County Board of Education.

Survivors include her husband, Dennis Guffey; two sons, Chad and Kyle Guffey; her mother, Mary Gossage Heinzl; three sisters, Pam Rusie, Kathy Kelle, and Bernadine Dilly; and four grandchildren.

Services were held Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at Hickey and Son Funeral Home in Monticello. Burial was in Old Bethel Cemetery.

Hickey and Sons Funeral Home were in charge of arrangements.
