The Clinton County Ministerial Association announces that plans for the annual Holy Week services will go forward for next week, April 6 – 10.
The services will be as before – between 12:00 and 12:30 – during the lunch hour.
What will be different is that the services will not be attended physically, but will be “attended” through live online streaming.
The services can be viewed live, or by playback, on the Clinton County Ministerial Association’s Facebook page.
This complies with the medical directive not to assemble during this period of rapid infection.
Monday – Speaking Monday will be Pastor Jeff Brown of Albany First Baptist.
Tuesday – Larry Spears will speak on Tuesday.
Wednesday – Wednesday, Pastor David Stearns of Peolia and Cumberland City United Methodist Churches will speak.
Thursday – The pastor of Lee’s Chapel, Todd Smith, will speak Thursday
Friday – Printes Evans of the United Nazarene Church will close out the week on Friday.
The Ministerial Association does need the financial support normally received from the offerings.
The monies are primarily used to provide assistance to members of our community.
For those wanting to contribute they can do so through their churches or by dropping their offerings off at First and Farmers Bank where our account is kept. Chad Grant is our Treasurer.
We are disappointed that for the first time our fellowship will be from a distance.
Nevertheless, the message of the Cross and the victory over death and hell by the Resurrection of Jesus Christ binds us together around a hope and love that knows no distance.
Join us by going to our Facebook account. Type in the search field “Clinton County Ministerial Association”. There we will worship together “in spirit and in truth”.
