The drastic effect that the COVID-19 pandemic has had on the Albany and Clinton County economy and its residents could be seen first hand early Tuesday morning of this week as traffic was lined up from the Clinton County Community Center, down two blocks east on Wood Street and for about three blocks north on Cross Street, as well as for about a block on Washington Street in front of the Clinton County News office.

The traffic was backed up as local residents waited for the Tuesday morning distribution of commodity food items from the Clinton County Community Center. The distribution was again done in a “hands off” fashion with local workers and volunteers bringing out bags of food and placing it into the vehicles as they made their way past the Community Center.
