On Sunday March 29, 2020, Barry Cross, Bryant Hadley and Clint Poore all competed in the 2020 Quarantine Open Online Powerlifting competition to raise money for NoKidHungry.org. All three Clinton County residents competed in the Bench Press event. Cross finished in 4th place with a strong 305 lb bench press in the Masters Heavyweight division. Hadley finished in 3rd place with a powerful 227.5 lb bench press in the Masters Middleweight division. Poore finished in 1st place with a mighty 442.5 lb bench press in the Open Heavyweight division.

Poore also had the biggest bench press of all competitors lifting in the competition. It was a personal best for him since recovering from rotator cuff surgery in 2017. Together, they had a great experience competing in the event and look forward to hopefully competing in another online powerlifting competition in the near future and lifting more weight.

All three men were honored and proud to lift in this powerlifting event to help feed hungry children during the COVID-19 pandemic.

A total of 176 lifters competed in the event, with competitors from 38 states and four countries, making this not only a large National competition but an International competition as well. More than 902 dollars was raised through the event to support NoKidHungry.org, which will provide more than 9,000 meals for children during this time of crisis.
