, 80, of Burkesville, Kentucky, passed away Monday, April 6, 2020, at his residence in Burkesville, Kentucky.

He was born in Clinton County, Kentucky, the son of Elmer Floyd and Willie Vestel Carter Thurman.

He attended Rose of Sharon United Methodist Church, was a 1958 graduate of Cumberland County High School, and a graduate of Western Kentucky University .

He was a teacher, hospital administrator, and a farmer.

He is survived by his siblings, Virginia Cummings of Burkesville, Kentucky, Valion “Slick” (Marsha) Thurman of Goshen, Kentucky, Donna Thurman of Burkesville, Kentucky; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services were private with Bro. Gary Cash officiating and burial was in the Rose of Sharon Cemetery in Cumberland County, Kentucky.
