J.E. Morrison 91, of Albany, passed away Monday, April 6, 2020 at The Medical Center-Albany.

A veteran of Korean Conflict, he was one of the highest decorated veterans from Clinton County, achieving the rank of Master Sergeant and earning multiple ribbons and awards, including the Croix de Guerre with a Silver Star for an act of bravery while leading his platoon in an assault against Heartbreak Ridge in 1951.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Morrison.

He is survived by two sons, Steve (Angela) Morrison and David (Alice) Morrison; and four grandchildren: Ethan, James, Alex, and Adam (Makayla) Morrison.

Private services were held Thursday at Talbott Funeral Home with a private burial in Cave Springs Cememtery.

Arrangements were by Talbott Funeral Home of Albany.
