Theo Wellington began a lifelong interest in astronomy with the space age on TV. A small telescope became her window to the universe under the dark skies of the time. Fascinated with the idea that so much information was coming to us on the tiny beams of light, she graduated from Case Western Reserve University with a BS degree in astronomy.

She joined the Barnard-Seyfert Astronomical Society in 2003, became involved in public outreach and how much fun it is to share the universe with everyone. She worked at the Sudekum Planetarium from 2005 – 2016 and part time at Western Kentucky University in 2017 coordinating Eclipse 2017 events for Kentucky K-12 students. As a NASA/JPL Solar System Ambassador volunteer, she gets to share information about all of our space exploration.
