A new business was officially welcomed to Albany last Thursday morning by the Albany – Clinton County Chamber of Commerce. The American Collection Donation Store, located at 303 N. Washington Street, in the basement of the McWhorter Variety Building, is a second hand retail store that accepts donated items for resale. The goal of the business is to help homeless veterans across the United States through MuddsHvets organization.

On hand for Thursday’s ribbon cutting ceremony were, left to right, Chris Mudd, Carter Mudd, Travis Vincent and Evelyn Murray, representing the new business, in addition to Chamber of Commerce Board Members Mike Davis and Lisa Beard.
