The 2020 traditional tourism season came to a close this past Labor Day weekend, with one of the busiest and heaviest attendance recorded on the two lakes this season. Fantastic weather all weekend, combined with the current COVID-19 pandemic that has limited travel for many, made for one of the largest crowds on both Lake Cumberland and Dale Hollow Lake in 2020. These two photos, made during the weekend on Dale Hollow Lake, are examples of the boating crowds that were witnessed on both lakes. Above, a crowd of boaters and swimmers gathered at near the Clinton County – Pickett County line just east of Wolf River Marina, and below, a crowd of boats adjacent to Trooper Island Camp.
