Court makes cash transfers at special call meeting

Clinton County Fiscal Court began the new year with another short special meeting last Thursday morning, January 7, with only one item of business on the brief agenda.

On separate motions, the court approved five separate cash transfers including:

* On a motion by magistrate Jerry Lowhorn, seconded by magistrate Johnny Russell, transferred $20,000 from the Occupation checking account to the Jail checking account.

* On a motion by magistrate Terry Buster, seconded by magistrate Ray Marcum, transferred $5,000 from the Occupation checking account to the Ambulance checking account.

* On a motion by Lowhorn, seconded by Buster, voted to transfer $10,000 from the Occupational checking account to the Ambulance checking account.

* On a motion by Marcum, seconded by Russell, voted to transfer $2,000 from the Occupational checking account to the DES checking account.

* On a motion by Buster, seconded by Lowhorn, voted to transfer $2,000 from the Occupational checking account to the LGEA checking account.

The fiscal court’s next regular meeting will be next Thursday, January 21, at 5 p.m. at the courthouse and streamed live on the judge’s office Facebook page.
